Reformer Module I-III

 

 

Module 1

This course teaches the practical skills needed to become proficient with the assessment techniques, movement sequences and selection and principles of movement. 

During the course of training we will address Fitness Assessment/Screening, adjustment of Reformer for client safety and instructor efficiency, 14 beginner/entry level exercises that include the themes of hip disassociation, core control, strength, flexibility, coordination, balance, thoracic spine mobility and lower extremity alignment, etc. This Pilates Reformer course is ideal for programming small group classes, private sessions and fitness and conditioning sessions. You will learn the theory behind Pilates Program design and sequencing to help you create fun and effective Pilates classes. The dynamics of group training in this unique conditioning program will also be covered.

 

Module 2

This course teaches the practical skills needed to become proficient with the assessment techniques, movement sequences, selection and principles of movement learned in Module I

14 new intermediate level exercises will include themes like core control, balance, coordination, flexibility and extremity strength. This Pilates Reformer course will allow you to advance your students and clients with more challenging variations and new exercises for group and private sessions. An experiential lab and lecture on Tactile and Imagery cuing will enhance your accuracy, quality of movement and teaching skills.

Module 3

This course teaches the practical skills needed to become proficient with the assessment techniques, movement sequences, selection and principles of movement learned in Module II.

This movement selection focuses on Advance Reformer Exercises. In Reformer III, 17 new exercises are introduced to expand your repertoire for group and private session teaching. This course will allow you to advance your students and clients with more challenging variations and new exercises for core control, balance, coordination, flexibility and extremity strength. An experiential lecture and lab will address Energy Medicine and its relevance to movement and healing.  

 

Matwork Module I-III

 

 

Module 1

This Course teaches the practical skills needed to become proficient with techniques, sequences, and principles of movement in Pilates.

You will learn 18 Pilates Mat exercises for beginner and intermediate levels, along with 6 basic Pilates principles, to understand the background and foundation of each exercise. This course will begin to explain the structure and the sequence of building the group class and private practices. 

Course duration: 20 hours

 

Module 2

This course teaches the practical skills needed to become proficient with techniques, sequences and principles of movement in Pilates.

You will learn 22 Pilates Mat exercises for intermediate levels, along with 6 basic Pilates principles, to understand the background and foundation of each exercise. This course will also cover the principles of building a group class, in which we will discuss the sequencing of mat exercises for group and/or private classes using a mat. 

Course duration: 20 hours 

Module 3

This course teaches the practical skills needed to become proficient with techniques, sequences and principles of movement in Pilates.

You will learn 22 Pilates Mat exercises for intermediate and advanced levels, along with 6 basic Pilates principles, to understand the background and foundation of each exercise. This course will also cover the principles of building a group class, in which we will discuss the sequencing of mat exercises for group and/or private classes using a mat.
